The Foundation of a Reliable TV-SAT Installation
Passive installation components are a group of products that, although they remain invisible, are absolutely critical to the quality and reliability of any satellite, terrestrial and radio TV system. These are components that do not amplify the signal, but manage it: they split, combine, protect and route it to the receiver. The correct selection of these accessories ensures no interference and a long service life for the entire system.
Signal Distribution and Splitting
If the signal needs to reach more than one TV, devices for splitting it must be used. Splitters are used to evenly divide the signal between two or more sockets in a single-family home, where a simple signal split is required. In more advanced shared installations, such as apartment blocks, taps are used. These devices intentionally split the signal unevenly, allowing losses in long cable risers to be compensated for, so the signal is just as strong in apartments on the ground floor as it is on the top floor.
Managing SAT and DVB-T Signals
Proper management of different types of signals is also necessary. SAT+DVB-T signal combiners are essential when you want to combine satellite and terrestrial signals into one cable – this greatly simplifies cabling, because only one cable needs to be routed to the apartment. In turn, DiSEqC switches are required if you have an antenna with a Monoblock LNB converter or connected to two different satellites (e.g. HotBird and Astra), because they allow the tuner to select which satellite it should currently receive the signal from.

Safety and Precise Control
The stability and safety of your installation depend on protective components. Surge protectors are the most important – they protect expensive equipment (tuners, TVs) and the entire installation from damage caused by atmospheric discharges. Attenuators, blockers are used for precise control of the signal level. Attenuators are needed when the signal is too strong and overdrives the tuner, while blockers isolate and eliminate potential interference in the network.
Installation Finishing
Crucial to the technical correctness and functionality of the installation are antenna sockets, which are mounted in the wall and serve as the interface between the installation and the receiver. They are available in terminal or pass-through versions. Meanwhile, plugs, terminations, caps are accessories necessary for professionally connecting cables to devices – a properly fitted F-type plug ensures minimal signal loss and resistance to weather conditions.
