How do Unicable I and Unicable II work?

Initially, the technology did not gain popularity, which was caused by the small number of receivers using this solution. Over time, when manufacturers saw the potential in this type of solution, tuners began to be adapted to this standard. Unicable I technology could connect from 4 to 8 receivers using a single cable. This became popular in small installations. The price of this type of solution seemed high to some – contrary to appearances, however, it is the cheapest and simplest possible installation (it significantly reduces cable clutter).

The next step in development was the creation of Unicable II – operation similar to its predecessor but much more advanced. LNBs of this type support up to 32 receivers in dynamic mode. More and more receivers from the Polish platforms  NC+ and Cyfrowy Polsat are compatible with this technology. Devices supporting DCSS and dHello technology do not require manual frequency configuration; the entire process works automatically. Unicable II works very quickly and can support even several tuners. For this type of solution, we recommend tuners with FBC tuners and the Linux system.
